Moleskine Passions- Book Journal Review

A few months ago, I purchased a 'Moleskine Passions Book Journal' and I can honestly say it was worth every penny. At around £16.99 (dependent on where you purchase it), I hoped it would be a worthwhile investment and one I could use for many years to come.Although, so far I have only made one entry, I can see it becoming full and yellow paged with jottings, opinions and ideas.

So, for the basics; it is a hard leather finish 5" x 8 1/4" notebook with a cover fully embossed with the titles of famous novels from around the world including Nana, Emma, The Grapes Of Wrath and Hamlet. There are ample sections to fill with books, with rooms for 6 entries per letter. It also has 6 personalized tabbed sections for which you can come up with your own categories or use the labeled stickers provided. There are plenty to choose from; I opted for My Library, To Read, Wish List, Borrowed, Lent and my own section The Leaning Bookshelf.

After this, there are a number of blank pages which can be used for notes, sketches or just random ideas. At the back of the book, there is an index where you can fill in the title of each book next to its corresponding page. Attached to the back cover of the book, is a sturdy two pocket compartment, in which you will find numerous stickers to add to your entries, and a bookmark printed with the same title design as the cover.

From a personal view I already love it. I love adding each of the books I have read to the journal, and somehow writing in my opinions of the book and revisiting quotes that I have loved makes me appreciate the books that little bit more.

I would highly recommend purchasing a book journal if you love documenting books as much as I do, it truly is a fantastic thing, and one that I hope will continue to be of enjoyment for many years to come.
